3D Camera Tracker Homework
[ Lecture Outline ] [ Lab Exercise ] [ Homework Project ]
Due October 3rd.
Using the assets from the lab (and any other assets you want,) create a short video which takes place in at least three separate settings (e.g., moon, city, etc.)
Establish at least one character (e.g., godzilla, the alien from the first Lab, footage of an actor, etc.) which the audience will see in all three settings. Use the 3D Camera Tracker to insert the character into the various settings.
Use the Advanced Lightning effect in your video somewhere. It generates a realistic arc of electric current. Set its Lightning Type property to “Strike” and then use the Origin and Direction properties to determine the beginning and end of the lightning bolt. Use some 3D Camera Tracker data points to control the beginning and ending points of the lightning bolt effect. Since the lightning effect is a 2D effect, you will have to use an expression for converting from 3D space to 2D space (see lecture notes.)
Requirements, In Summary
- 30 – 40 seconds, with a beginning, middle, and ending
- Use the 3D Camera Tracker on at least 3 different clips (e.g., moon, city drone, etc.)
- At least one character (e.g., godzilla, Paris Hilton, etc.) consistently in each clip (to create some continuity)
- Use the Advanced Lightning effect, with the beginning and end points tied to some 3D Camera Tracked features in a clip (e.g., lightning between two antennas, etc.)
